Barbara was born on 25th September 1929 in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S. Her full name is Barbara Jill Walters. If we talk about her parents, Her Father’s name is Lou Walters, and her mother’s name is Dena. Her parents were Jewish. During her childhood, her father Lou Walters was the manager at Latin Quarter nightclub in Boston. He also worked as a Broadway producer and he also worked as an entertainment director at Tropicana Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Barbara did her initial Schooling till 5th standard at Lawrence School in Brookline, Massachusetts. Barbara Walters started her career working for a small advertising company but left that within a year and joined The Morning Show in 1955 as a writer.
